Losing a parent when your young

I lost my mother when I was 6 years old, she passed into the higher life with kidney failure, she was only 34 years old. I have worried all my life that I might get the same illness but thank our Lord it has passed me by.

Although I have missed her physical presence, I have felt she has been with me and around me all my life, guiding me from the spirit world. It was so wonderful to have a message from her when I joined our local spiritualist church, the evidence of survival was amazing, I was told about the gold cross necklace she had left me, and the medium described her so well, I was told to dry my tears that she is whole and well in heaven.

Thank you Noreen for your comment on my discussion, It was very comforting for me, so much so that I joined the spiritual church and have been an active member since 1991. I haven't got the mediums number sorry. Love and Hugs ^j^

Hi Lisa, Thank you for replying to my discussion, Your right about the shining star, I used to look up at the nights sky when I was a child and wonder which star my mother was on, then realised when I was older she was on every star, we are all one in the universe, the whole. I would like to thank Admin for giving us the opportunity to name a star after a loved one, I went into the site www.freenameastar.com and named a star in memory of my mother. They give you a direction of where the star is but It doesn't matter which star they are all beautiful. A wonderful way to remember a loved one. You get a certificate to print out or download to your computer as well. Thank You Admin. ^j^

Hello Amanda, I'm so sorry I haven't replied to your message sooner, I have been very busy and not able to get online as often as I wish. Thank you for your caring words to me.

I feel although I did not have the physical presence of my mother, I have been blessed in other ways, with a wonderful family who are so supportive, my husband, sons and daughter in law who are my life. I now have 3 grandchildren who are very precious to me, and keep me young.

I know I will see my mother again when the Lord calls me home. Cher ^j^
